Semi-Stripping Scope and Configuration Options

The semi-stripping options remove internal hole waste and waste along three outer sides of the sheet. The gripper-edge waste remains for subsequent handling.

This retained edge is an important point when planning your finishing workflow. Semi-stripping describes the waste-removal scope; it does not mean that the machine is semi-automatic.

Plate-Type Stripping

The plate-type option uses a central positioning system to support stripping-tool alignment and adjustment. Review the sheet layout and waste pattern with DAIS when discussing this arrangement.

Needle-Type Stripping

The needle-type option uses upper, middle and lower frames. The upper and lower frames can be pulled out to provide access for frame installation and stripping-needle replacement.

Configuration Note

Plate-type and needle-type stripping are configuration options. The selected stripping arrangement and its inclusion in the machine package must be confirmed in the quotation and order specification.

Leading-Edge Feeding and Sheet Registration

The leading-edge feeder introduces corrugated sheets into the machine before registration and die cutting. The feeder design aims to limit surface scuffing during sheet handling, a useful consideration for printed corrugated material.

The transfer section uses adjustable rubber wheels and brush wheels to support sheet positioning. Front and side gauges guide the sheet into its registration position before the cutting cycle.

Die Cutting, Setup and Sheet Delivery

Die Cutting Structure

The machine body uses QT600-3 ductile iron. The die cutting section includes die-frame positioning, pneumatic locking and a forced lubrication system. These are relevant details to review alongside tooling access and routine maintenance arrangements.

Die Setup

Confirm the required cutting format, die frame, cutting plate and stripping tooling before ordering. The included accessories and any additional tooling should be listed in the agreed machine package.

Sheet Delivery

The delivery section includes sheet-leveling provisions and automatic lifting control for the delivery table. Review access to the collection area and how completed sheets will be transferred to the next production stage.

Job Suitability and Configuration Requirements

The DS-1650YQS is a model to evaluate when your corrugated sheets fit its listed format range and your finishing workflow calls for die cutting with semi-stripping options.

Start the review with the actual blank rather than the outside box dimensions alone. Share the cutting layout, internal openings, waste pattern and printed surface requirements so that sheet feeding, tooling and stripping can be discussed together.

Useful Information to Share

  • Maximum and minimum sheet dimensions.
  • Board thickness and representative material samples.
  • Printed, coated or laminated surface details, where applicable.
  • Cutting layout and internal waste areas.
  • Target output and typical job quantities.
  • Planned handling of the retained gripper edge.

Installation and Site Preparation

The listed overall dimensions are 10319 × 4765 × 2540 mm, with a machine weight of 26 t. Use these figures for an initial discussion of the machine envelope, then obtain the confirmed layout for your ordered configuration.

Installation planning should also address access for delivery and positioning, floor requirements, electrical supply, operator access, maintenance access and movement of sheet stacks. The listed machine dimensions alone do not establish the complete working space required.
